Major von Kern is a classic looking 4 year old German Shepherd. Major is an extra large guy with a big bone structure, he has the conformation of the German imports with the straighter back people prefer.  Major is housebroken and has good house manners. He knows his commands. Major walks well on a leash. He isn’t fond of other dogs; he can with time be with a submissive female. He seems okay with cats. His foster mom said Major has very discerning taste, he preferred the temper-pedic dog bed to the cheaper old fashion dog bed. Major was borrowed for a week from the kennel; a friend of one of the volunteers was going through a divorce and wanted to feel safe at night. Major can make anyone feel good, he loves to check out the house, he gives a big deep bark if anything seems amiss. When Major’s week was up, as much as he loves car rides, he kept looking back until his foster mom was out of sight. He really loved her; Major will give his heart to his new family too.
