Maxwell is a 4 year-old shepherd who is looking for a family to share his love with.  He was rescued from the Lancaster Animal Shelter in September and has spent the last month and a half with a foster family.  He has thrived in his foster home and is a completely happy and healthy young guy.  He is a total sweetheart who deserves a forever family of his own.  One of his favorite past times is leaning on people to show his love and lap up any attention people are willing to give him.  When he isn’t leaning on a family member, he spends a great part of his day playing with his tennis balls.  He loves going on his daily walks and is COMPLETELY HOUSEBROKEN!  He sleeps inside the house on his bed…and as long as he has his own toys to play with, he leaves the kids’ toys alone.  Because he is so loving, and such a leaner, however, Max would probably do best with a family who has older kids that are taller than him – he is a bit of a clutz and doesn’t know his own strength!  Max has also been living with an older female shepherd and has gotten along great with her. Unfortunately, Max’s current foster family was recently notified that their association doesn’t allow more than one dog in a home, so they can’t keep him any longer!  They are devastated and are hoping that Max goes to a truly deserving family!  So if you are looking for a family member who will be loving, playful and loyal, please take a moment to meet Max…it will only take a moment to realize he is the perfect dog for you!!
