Sherman
Adopted

Sherman is a beautiful, classic black and tan German Shepherd. When most people think of a German Shepherd, Sherman is what comes to mind. He has the regal look. He carries himself with power and grace. He is intelligent and friendly and has some obedience training. He also knows immediately to whom he should attach himself. Sherman was able to charm the staff at a humane society that isn't overly fond of German Shepherds. The head of the large humane society wanted to make sure that we were going to take Sherman. We got many other emails from other rescue groups who had seen Sherman, wanting to make sure that this special boy wouldn't end his life in the shelter.
Sherman's owners gave him up because they didn't have time for him and he was unhappy. He is 31/2 years old. Sherman passed with flying colors the temperament test they did at the humane society. Many wonderful shepherds don't do well, so we don't pay much attention. We were surprised that Sherman could rally and did everything they asked of him. Sherman is calm and obedient; he likes other dogs and people, as well. When our volunteer took him to a veterinary hospital to board a little dog charged him. She was so worried because many large dogs don't like that. It didn't bother Sherman at all. Sherman is an all around great dog.
