Alf von Apfelbaum is a stunning 19 month old AKC German Shepherd. This extra large red and black classic looker loves kids and is quite eager to please. He knows all his basic commands and is eager to learn more. Alf has quite the drive and would love to have a real job and an experienced K9 handler to give him regular work-out sessions in search-and-rescue or activities so that he can perform at the level he was bred for. Although Alf has amazing focus and an imposing posture, he’s actually quite the gentle giant around his people. He loves attention and sometimes slips into full on puppy mode when he plays. Alf is house broken as long as he has ready access to the yard and he also loves to play with water, especially from the hose. Alf is looking for a home with a strong leader that will dedicate the time he needs to work on all his skills he has now and those he knows he capable of.
