Alwin von Nachtweh is a beautiful 2-year-old long haired German Shepherd. He is a well-bred dog with the best temperament. Alwin has the body lines of the German imports with the squarer back, Alwin gets into the show position naturally. Everyone who meets Alwin is charmed by his good looks and his personality. When the volunteer went to the shelter to save him, he looked at her and seemed to say "what took you so long?" When he was at the vet where he was to be boarded, he shook hands with the volunteer on his own, he knew what she just did for him. Then he walked off with the vet tech. Alwin is great with other dogs, you can hug him and dress him up, he is fine with all the attention he has gotten. All our volunteers want to see if they can talk their families into one more dog. Alwin is so wonderful, so hurry. Also, the long haired German shepherds shed less than the traditional coat, plus they usually have a milder temperament.
