Amber von Anklam is a petite 45lb shepherd-mix girl who is proof that “good things come in small packages!”  As her name suggests, she’s an absolute gem in her foster home -- she’s housebroken, sleeps well in a crate, is very easy on a leash and meets other dogs extremely well.  Her sweet and affectionate nature quickly surfaces with her humans, and those gentle strokes and savory treats help to break the ice!  Amber loves nothing better than to be with you as you do your house chores or relax on the sofa for a good movie; her head will somehow make its way to your lap so you’re obligated for that scratch behind the ears.  She’s suitable as an only dog in the home or could otherwise be a great companion for a playful canine friend, and is best with older kids.  Like the gemstone, our Amber has her own ‘mystical’ and ‘healing’ properties, and here’s your opportunity to bring this precious gem home to your family!
