Axel von Aulendorf is a gorgeous 18 month old German Shepherd. Our resident goofball with the cutest crown marking on his head is just so easy to love! He exits his kennel happily with his typical wide grin and big tail wag but is extremely polite and well-mannered. Axel walks on leash very impressively, always heeling by your side. He thinks that it is so rude to drag your handler along behind you and prefers to wait by your side for the light to turn green. When he meets a passing dog, Axel sometimes shouts “Hi! I’m Axel, what’s your name!” and always has the friendliest wag. Taking Axel to the park is such a treat because he will sit right next to you and gaze into your eyes, making you feel like the most important person in the world. He just loves to get a full body scratch and, when you stop rubbing his ears, he will nudge you as if to say “ahem, I am still here.” He enters his playgroup excitedly and wants to say hi to everyone in there. He likes to explore the yard and, in his typical friendly manner, gets along with all the females and the easy-going males. Axel does not like pushy males and will try to defend himself.
