Bala von Boon is a striking looking 2.5 year old German Shepherd. Beautiful Bala walks well on leash though she is still a little nervous in the kennel environment and might walk too closely to you, bumping against you occasionally. She brightens up when there is a friendly, confident dog walking next to her. Bala is low to mid energy and comes off a little shy. She does like her head to be petted but asks that you take it slower with her. Once comfortable, she will nudge your hand and ask why you stopped petting her head! If you are patient enough, she really comes out of her shell, giving you some of the sweetest bear hugs you will ever receive. Looking for a dog park or doggy day care kind of dog? Bala is all that and more! She is absolutely amazing with other dogs and has been known to break out of her kennel to cuddle with one of our friendly shepherds (true story!) She meets all the dogs well in her playgroup, sometimes taking on the submissive role to avoid trouble. Bala is everyone’s dream dog but she has a request of her own, and that is to have another four-legged companion in her new home.
