Benji von Bergen is a stunning 2 year old long haired German Shepherd. One look into his bright, shiny eyes tells you that this boy is a playful guy seeking an active forever home with folks who will keep up his training and appreciate his zest for life. On the larger side (over 80lbs), Benji is very smart, friendly and loves attention; he'll lean in for more petting please.  He's treat-motivated and makes it his goal to win one as he seeks to please his people.  He's in our training program at the rescue and has already mastered a good list of commands (including sit, paw and down).  Always up for an outing, he will enthusiastically jump into any car with an open door. In his dog playgroups, he has become a good greeter and immediately seeks a pal for fun and enthusiastic play. However, cats are not on his friends list.
