Brooke von Bundt is a beautiful 2-year-old smaller sized Shepherd mix. This girl with the sweet smile and perpetual puppy ears is so easy to love. She has a great, balanced, medium energy and the sweetest temperament. Brooke morphs into a bouncy puppy when it’s time to play, especially when toys are involved (the squeakier the better, asks Brooke). She loves to wrestle with her foster brother -- a young male about her size – and meets other dogs very well. In playgroups she is tolerant of all the personality types who come by and say hello and, while she enjoys a good play session, she's just as happy to lie beside you while you check your email or have your morning coffee. It may take her a while to warm up to new people but, once she does, she’s a total love bug! A perfect day for Brooke includes a brisk morning walk or hike, a car ride or two and plenty of belly rubs. Did we mention she’s the perfect size for cuddling? Brooke is getting used to the outside sights and sounds of city life, so her ideal home would realize that she might need a moment to survey new situations before jumping right in. This gorgeous girl has a short, low-maintenance coat, and she’s even housebroken and crate trained. Brooke walks nicely on leash. She may pull ahead of you when she’s excited, but she settles down and will walk right by your side. She is learning commands such as sit, down, touch and wait (her foster mom proudly says she absorbs everything, just like a sponge). She is looking for a home where she can continue to learn, and most importantly, where she will feel safe.
