Cairo von Caan is a very handsome 3-4-year-old German Shepherd. This big boy with the striking silver coat has come so far since he first arrived at the rescue. Although he still harbors some worries, he is learning the benefits of knowing good people and going on long walks. Cairo can be cautious at first meeting, but he warms up quickly and then reveals his inner goofball. He can be very playful and loving with his people. On his walks he can be prone to bounce around; however, Cairo does listen to corrections, both on and off leash. He is very loyal, attaches to his person and is eager to please, especially if It means receiving some praise. He's somewhat wary of strangers so that precautions are necessary when visitors come to your home. Cairo is leash-trained, knows some commands, and appears to be housebroken. He does well around other dogs on his walks, and can be playful with certain dogs in playgroups. He definitely doesn't like cats or being confined in a crate.
