Candace von Delilah is a gorgeous 18 month old German Shepherd who came to Westside from a family with children. She is still getting used to kennel and city life, which is why she can’t wait to meet a new family who will make her truly their own. Beautiful Candace shows some of that typical shepherd aloofness and can take a little bit of time to warm up to new people but, once she does, she leans on her person for affection and guidance. On walks she stays right next to you and is very curious about her surroundings. Candace approaches other dogs cautiously. She does not appreciate pushy types who get in her face or small dogs. More than anything else, she just wants to hang around her person and leave the romping to the puppies. Candace is still a young girl who has much to learn to help her gain more confidence in new environments -- something that can be started via the free group obedience class that comes with her adoption. She is seeking a patient home that not only sees her as the beautiful pup she already is, but will also see the potential of the great dog she’s sure to be.
