Charlotte von Coburg is a gorgeous 3-4 year old much sought after pure black and red long haired German Shepherd. The black and reds are usually from European lines. This lady’s regal bearing is the first thing one notices about her. Charlotte has a quiet, confident energy. She walks well on leash and doesn’t let things (excitable dogs, for instance) get to her. In fact, she walked very calmly and without a problem next to another female who was feeling a bit ornery that day. She is responsive to her person and enjoys the head rubs and ear scratches that you will want to give her majesty. In her playgroup, Charlotte holds her own ground without causing a scene. Ever the lady, she steers clear, in her confident way, of noisier types and enjoys herself tremendously, wagging her plumed tail to communicate her joy. Even on a busy adoption day, with different people and dogs swirling around her, Charlotte knows her best option is to curl up quietly and alertly at the feet of her person, watching the activity but not getting distracted by it. Charlotte does well with non-dominant dogs who give her space. Let this lovely queen of hearts rule in your castle. Charlotte was part of a matched pair but the male was adopted before we rescued her. We think she would do well with a male.
