Clyde von Wasserman is a classic looking German Shepherd. He is a distinguished looking guy with a story to tell, we will never know the whole story, however. His real name is Clyde, he was turned in by his owners who said he was 6 years old. He had horrendous care so it is hard to know his correct age.They gave no reason for giving him up. We are sure Clyde was never groomed or brushed in his whole life. When he arrived at the rescue everything stopped, everyone got out a grooming brush and went to work. Most dogs get impatient after awhile, Clyde loved the attention. He actually knew he looked years younger and had a nice spring in his gait. It is amazing to us each time we see a dog like Clyde, he was from a good line of German Shepherds, someone paid some money for him and then totally neglected him. Clyde is great with other dogs, he also had a great cat test. He was hungry and thought the cat food so much more interesting than the cat. It is such a dilemma for us since most everyone who comes to adopt wants a younger dog, even people who are seniors themselves aren't interested. We just couldn't let Clyde die on his last day, he just has never known how good life can be! Clyde is such a good boy, he will love you forever!
