Daphne von Dusseldorf is a beautiful 14 month old German Shepherd. She is in very good shape, obviously someone took very good care of her. She rode down from Bakersfield with 10 other German Shepherds to safety. We are continually amazed at the beautiful dogs we get from the Bakersfield Shelter, their condition and their temperaments are amazing. Daphne was hanging out with 4 other dogs from the transport today on leashes. They were all like best buddies. It is so wonderful to have so many dogs so well behaved. Daphne is an outgoing girl and very confident with dogs and with people. She is confident that everyone will love her! Daphne would do well in a home with males, but we think she would be too bossy with another female canine. She has some obedience training, she “sits” on command and drops to the ground when you tell her “down”. We aren’t sure how this special girl ended up in a crowded shelter. She is now ready for her new life and to be a spoiled princess.
