Falco von Felsberg is the most handsome 18 month old German Shepherd. He is obviously from a top breeder; he has great coloring and great conformation. We meet people who have paid $30,000 for their shepherds; Falco could definitely hold his own with them. He ended up in a high kill shelter, not far from Beverly Hills; we just can’t imagine how he ended up in such a bad area. Maybe he was stolen or ran several miles across the dividing line. He was already neutered so someone responsible had him which we almost never see. When we first saw Falco he was in a run with two Rottweilers and was fine. He was quiet but not stressed out. When they took him in the back room to process his paperwork at the shelter, it was in the same room they euthanize dogs. Falco cried and cried, it was so heart wrenching. It sounded like his heart was breaking. Once he was out of the shelter, he wouldn’t even eat the meat out of his celebration cheeseburger. After spending a few hours with the volunteers his tail started to wag. Falco pulls on the leash and doesn’t seem to have a lot of training, but his temperament seems excellent. Maybe he just responds to his former owner, we just have no idea. He would be a great one to work with and even do competitive training; We introduced him to a cat and so far so good. Falco is just such a prize! His donation will go to help another South L.A. boy, Jasper. We are asking a donation of $425 for Falco.
