Gilbert von Cheviot is a charming 5 month old German Shepherd/Retriever mix. Gilbert is an absolute delight, he is always up for anything you would like to do, but most of the day he likes to lounge on his bed. Gilbert enjoys taking a two mile walk with his foster mom and canine foster brother. He loves meeting new people on his walk and is so surprised when everyone doesn't stop to meet and admire him. He is such a good puppy and would be a wonderful kid's dog. Gilbert is such a gentle and kind dog and wouldn't be overwhelming for children. Gilbert's as good with women as he is with men. He's very quiet and not a barker. Gilbert is the quintessential family dog. He needs a home where he has free access to the house. He enjoys walks in any weather but doesn't enjoy playing outside unless it is a nice day. He'd rather play with his teddy bear in his bed. Gilbert is the kind of dog other dogs don't bother, he is just a charming guy all around.
