Gruff von Gladbeck is a beautiful 11-12 month old German Shepherd. With his striking good looks, Gruff could get away with anything and yet he prefers to let his sweet personality shine through. He walks wonderfully on leash and is very curious about his surroundings – after all, he is still a young pup who is up for any adventure! Gruff appears to have been leash trained and, even when walking next to a bossy female dog, he is willing to take on a submissive role. Gruff is medium energy and it seems like no one has told him how gorgeous he is, since he approaches new strangers a little shyly. When they reach out to pet him and tell him what a good boy he is (because who woudn’t), he immediately warms up and thoroughly enjoys the affection. When comfortable, Gruff lets his playful side shine through, sometimes prancing around a little. He has such a wonderful, easy-going personality, it is no wonder our kennel techs want to take him home too. In his playgroups, Gruff gets along with all the dogs (male and female) but prefers to observe the rough-play from the sidelines. When his humans give him any attention, he gets really excited and starts running around happily with the goofiest grin on his face.
