Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Hansel von Hamburg is a handsome 3 month old large boned German Shepherd puppy. He is definitely from German import lines as evidenced by his stocky body and large bone structure. Hansel is one solid puppy - he is built like a tank! We're guessing that he may have belonged to a breeder who didn't want to spend any money treating a skin infection. Hansel is getting to know his foster family and he loves being in a crate, so much that we are sure he must have been crated for long periods. His foster family leaves the door to the crate open in the kitchen so he can go in and out as he pleases. He is with Gilbert and they have a good time together.

Hansel is being treated for a skin infection and, in only 24 hours, he is already looking better. He will probably need to be on antibiotics for a month or so until the infection clears up. Hansel is so sweet and gets attached easily like a typical German shepherd puppy. He cries when you leave the room but then gets distracted easily and is okay. He is going to grow up to be so striking, he will be admired far and wide!
