Harley von Hartwin is a delightful 14 month old Shepherd mix on the smaller side. This lovely boy with the red-and-black coat and the cutest white splotch on his chin is such a love. The kennel staff all rave about Harley -- how he walks great on the leash, doesn’t pull and, if he does gets too far ahead, he stops to look back at you and flash you a happy smile. He loves to be petted and, for being so young, is quite mellow. Simply put, he has been described as “the sweetest boy on earth.” He has demonstrated his sweet and calm demeanor all through his short time at the rescue. He has shown excellent manners when meeting new people; he’ll even show them his sit when asked. In playgroups, he enjoys the company of dogs with his same easy-going personality. He’s not into rough-housing or putting up with pushy types. At home he looks forward to opportunities to cuddle. With his darling character, his smaller size and mid- energy level, Harley could fit into many homes, from an apartment to a first-time shepherd family. But what Harley is really looking for is for somewhere who will take him out at every opportunity, from the café to the office.
