Indy von Indio is a delightful, goofy, larger-sized 12 month old German Shepherd. Indy came to us with a non-contagious skin infection but, in just a short time, is already looking much better. To meet Indy is to fall completely in love with him. He is mid-to-high energy and loves everyone he meets; his idea of a greeting is showering you with kisses. Indy is a giant lovebug, who is equally nice and friendly to passing dogs. While he exits his kennel with some energy, he does calm down after some correction. Our kennel workers are utterly smitten by him, calling him the “sweetest big boy”. Coming from a rural farming area, Indy is rightfully frightened by loud noises, such as speeding buses and honking trucks. He hopes that you have a tight grip on his leash when something might spook him. Indy is a dream dog to have in playgroups. He is excited to be invited to the pack and readily gives out kisses to the other dogs. He loves playing and goofing around with the friendly ones but knows how to back away from trouble if it arises. With the grouchy dogs, he is happy to mind his own business or come back to his humans for cuddles. Indy already knows his sit command and can’t wait to learn more! With his extraordinary personality, Indy truly deserves the most wonderful home that will cherish him and make him an important part of the family
