Jake von Sauter is a charming 12 month old German Shepherd mix. He has a beautiful thick coat, with smoky colored highlights. Jake is in a foster family with three other dogs, two males, one extremely alpha, one everyone’s friend and then a spoiled alpha 4 month old German Shepherd female.  Jake loves to play and got everyone going. His spoiled foster sister didn’t want him near her toy basket, but he is okay, just let him know and he is okay with it! Jake has good doggy skills and can maneuver all the different personalities really well. His sweet temperament turned a day of introductions into a love fest, everyone was happy on a different level. Even his foster dad who is so burnt out with foster dogs admired his beautiful and fast gait. Jake thinks “sit” is to lay down, but he tries hard to be good. He loved a neighborhood little girl he met, who was happy to model with him. Jake seems to be housebroken and well behaved in the house. Because of a mishap with a dog sitter, Jake ended up in the Santa Monica Shelter; he had people lined up to adopt him! He had a bath and is now recovered from being lost and he is ready for his forever home!
