Jillian von Jitterbug is a smaller sized 14 month old German Shepherd. Shy and demure at first, it only takes a little time before she is hugging you and giving you kisses. Our mid-energy girl walks well on leash, always by your side. New situations unsettle her but she gradually acclimates and settles in. Jillian lives in her foster home with a Lab, a Boxer, a small dog and a cat. She is respectful of the large dogs, trying to blend in with them and learning the ropes quickly. She chases the small dog around sometimes, and ignores the cat as long as he does not run. Jillian LOVES children and wags hardest when the resident kids come home from school. She also loves going on walks (practically grinning when her foster mom grabs the leash) and likes playing with her tennis balls. Jillian is housebroken; she will let the family know she needs to go outside by standing at the door and spinning. She has wonderful house manners and is quite mellow, as long as she gets her regular dose of zooming around the backyard. Her foster family is crazy about her and we can see why!
