Joe von Bark is a stunning 3 year old sable German Shepherd. The sables are bred for health and temperament and to work. Joe definitely has the straighter back and the conformation of the German imports who are from working lines. Joe is a big guy, his optimum weight should be around 90 pounds. He belonged to a family since the time he was 8 weeks old, he had been purchased from a breeder, sadly the owners lost his house, so Joe found himself with no home. Usually the dogs we get are relinquished from less than wonderful homes, but judging from Joe’s reaction he had a good home and was very bonded to his owner. All he wanted to do was look for his owner; at this point Joe had pretty much given up and is ready to attach to his new person. He loves to play ball, he rides well in the car. He has been around children and is good with them according to the owner. He is also housebroken. He went through obedience training; he is well behaved and loving. He has done well with the dogs he has met. He is one of the most beautiful sables we have ever seen, we know all the sables lovers will show up for this guy!
