King von Barnes is a large, elegant 7 year old German Shepherd.  His zest for life and happy disposition give him a youthful personality. He has lovely manners and appears to be housebroken.  If you give him neck massages, he’ll give you his paw.  While you’re working on the computer or watching T.V., he’ll be glad to keep you company.  Whenever he sees someone, he loves to go up and say hi, and he immediately makes friends.  He’s so handsome and striking that he turns heads wherever he goes.  A hissing cat came up to him and he wasn’t very interested.  He was so grateful to the volunteers who picked him up from the shelter that he just couldn’t wait to get into the SUV, lie down quietly, enjoy the cool air, and then bury his face in a comforter.  We’re always amazed at how forgiving rescued dogs can be and King is a great example.  He has the biggest heart and he will shower you with big kisses and lots of affection.  Just come meet him, throw your arms around him, and you’ll know what we mean.
