Lucky von Jampol is a well bred, gorgeous 4 year old German Shepherd. He is one of those stunning guys who will turn heads and have people trying to understand how someone could not come to the shelter to retrieve a dog like Lucky. He is a high quality dog from good lines. He was micro-chipped by his owner, but when he was lost no one answered the letters the shelter sent. Lucky was kept in the back of the shelter alone because he was considered a 'valuable dog' and the staff didn't want anything to happen to him. The shelter got crowded and we were asked to come get Lucky. He was one happy guy to walk out of the shelter after being held so long, he sniffed the grass and couldn't wait to jump in the car. He is used to riding in the car and settled down immediately. He loved stopping for two double cheeseburgers and ate like a gentleman. He was so gentle when he took the pieces out of our volunteers fingers. Lucky has had some training and responds to most commands. He is okay with non-aggressive dogs after an introduction. Some family will be very lucky to adopt this great dog.
