Macy von Mirow

Macy von Mirow is a sweet and stunning 18 month old German Shepherd. She asked that we share the following with you:

Hi Everyone! I'm lucky enough to be in a foster home until I go to my forever home. My foster mom gives me all kinds of toys. The squeakies are my favorites, but I have big strong teeth so they don’t last long! Mom says they aren’t for eating. I sit politely for treats and dinner. If I have something in my mouth and mom says “give," I do. Some things I love are car rides, chasing toys, long naps and walks on my leash. I bark at squirrels and other dogs on leash. I don’t see the problem, but mom says it’s poor manners. We are working on manners -- like I tend to think every toy is mine -- no matter who is chewing on it. Mom says I’m an “alpha” dog. She says this means I like to be in charge of the other dogs. I have a foster sister and a brother. The brother is a poodle! He’s way smaller than me, and I like to push him with my nose to see if his stuffing comes out. I also like to run my teeth over his curly hair. My foster sister (who is a Labrador) does the same thing, only mom says I need to learn where the hair ends and the dog begins.) I got to go on a camping trip, and I learned to swim! I met some kids and mom and I taught them how to say hello to a dog they don’t know. I was very polite and sat still and kissed lots of hands. Then I got to play in something called SNOW!!! I’d love to live with you and continue to work on my manners and learn the rules.
