Matty aka Matata von Mauer is the most adorable 10-11 month old Shepherd mix. Smaller in size, Matata has a sweet, congenial and loving personality, and is friendly with other dogs as well as people. He still has puppy habits and needs basic training (as life is all about fun for him at this stage), but being the smart boy he is, he already knows a few commands. We think he would do well in many situations, and would make a great family dog. Matata does well on walks; while he still has some episodes of puppy energy and may pull out of excitement at times, he is easily corrected. He always enjoys his outings, likes to meet new people, is interested in other dogs and happy to walk alongside everyone in a group walk. He can bark at dogs, but it's because he's excited to meet them. Once he meets them, he invites them to play. Matata does great in playgroups which he views as a wonderful opportunity to explore, socialize and play. His furry-peers definitely agree that this friendly boy is always welcome! He does better with tolerant, playful dogs like himself.
