Max von Moers is a regal 6 year old classic looking German Shepherd. Max tips the scales at over 95 lbs, but he is such a gentle giant, especially when it comes to babies and kids: he even allowed a 3 year old to ride him (although we don’t recommend that at all). Max walks wonderfully on leash and it is clear that he has had advanced obedience training. If he seems too zealous with exiting the kennels, a little correction always does the trick. Max’s puppy years are behind him and he is such a mature gentleman, but don’t think that he is content with just lying around all day. He loves being out and about, easily out-running much younger dogs on hikes, and would love to be part of an active, outdoorsy family. Well-socialized Max enters his playgroups confidently, although he might try to exert dominance over the other dogs and will do better with a submissive and tolerant dog. In Max’s previous home, he adored the 40 lb “little” dog, but we do not recommend dogs/cats/farm animals who are any smaller than that for him. Max is a people pleaser who loves affection, and we guarantee that he will make his forever family very happy indeed.
