Nero von Neuss is a stunning 2 year old German Shepherd. His pictures reflect an alert facial expression that lets you know nothing much gets by him. This big, hunky guy might appear stand-offish to begin with but, once he gets to know you, your patience is rewarded with gentle Nero-kisses and the enduring loyalty for which German Shepherds are known. Even though big, Nero walks on leash like a gentleman. One of his favorite activities is participating in the monthly hikes at Griffith Park that WGSR coordinates; he walks well in a pack and socializes with the adults and children. Nero, however, is somewhat selective in the dogs he likes to play with so is not a candidate for the dog park, where there are all types of pushy and manner-less canines. This housebroken boy was recently awarded a one-month, in-residence training scholarship by the well-known K9’s Only academy in West Los Angeles. His graduation will take place around Valentine’s Day and he can go directly to his new forever home. In fact, his potential adopter can participate in his final days of training!
