Nixon von Niesky is a wonderful 2 year old shepherd/Lab mix. This darling boy with the super-soft folded ears hopes you have the heart to bring him and his twin Carter into your family. In return, you will get two wonderful dogs that are – themselves -- all heart . Nixon has blossomed in his short time at the rescue. He is a happy and confident boy who enjoys going out on his walks. Actually, he tells us that it’s not even so much about the walks; what he really loves is meeting new friends. He greets new people politely and with a big smile. Nixon meets friendly dogs with the best manners and actually might even try to steal a kiss. Off leash, he continues to be the sweetest of sweet. Nixon is tolerant of all dog personality types. Even when one tries to get pushy, he tries to charm him/her with his gentle energy and wagging tail. A kennel staff and volunteer favorite, Nixon’s name is often followed with “…is such a great dog”. He’s been a great example to others dogs and to his equally loveable brother, Carter, who still leans on him for confidence quite a bit. So while Nixon would be an excellent addition to all kinds of homes, what he is waiting for is that family who will fill out an application and come to meet him and Carter.
