Palm Springs Petey got a 1st class ticket out of the desert where he had been kept in the backyard in the 100 plus degree heat without house priviledges. High winds and blowing sand made his eyes burn and his life miserable with never a walk and almost no socialization. He was never even given a name. Petey, about 2 1/2 years old, 73 lbs., is one of the best dogs I've ever been around. He knows his name, responds to commands like a champ, loves the car, runs next to the bicycle like a pro runner and even likes running on the treadmill! He loves kids and other dogs and licks them all to prove it. He follows you around like a shadow and is a great companion. He is also a great watchdog that will defend his property fiercely. He will make a great dog for someone who know how to be an strong alpha figure in Petey's life. As long as he has structure, he's great.
