Poncho von Mar Vista is a stunning 4 year old 100 pound German Shepherd with maybe a touch of Husky. He’s a big, hunky guy who plays hard-to-get at first and minutes later is flopping over for belly rubs. Housebroken and used to enjoying outside activities (like beach-ing it) with his previous family, he has lived with big and little dogs but has not had experience around little children. He is likely to claim you as his person early on. This mid-energy boy walks well on leash after the first few minutes and generally ignores other passing dogs. Although he will bond with you and yours, he is cautious of strangers and prefers to sniff them out before admitting them into his circle. In playgroups he gets along with good-tempered dogs that are not high energy. So many people tell us they want a BIG shepherd; if you’re strong enough, this guy is for you.
