Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Rico von Lancaster is the most adorable 18 month old classic German Shepherd. We adore his cute ears, and Rico seems to enjoy moving them every which way. Sometimes they're in the middle touching, sometimes they're down on the sides and sometimes they're standing straight up. Rico is a sweet, easy boy, a wonderful passenger in the car and a lover of cheeseburgers. And he can sure use some food, he's about 25 lbs under weight. We know shepherds get stressed in shelters and they refuse to eat, so rescuing another skinny dog is nothing new. He weighs 60 lbs now, so he should be about 85 lbs once he adds some much needed pounds. We tested him with a cat that was lounging on the bench at the vet's office. He carefully sniffed the cat, the cat hissed at him and he just backed off and turned away, immediately losing interest. We will test him again if you have a cat in your home and you're interested in adopting this cute boy. He is good with other dogs and friendly with people.
