Rocci von Samuel is an 18 month old Shepherd mix who is always a gentleman with female dogs and smaller dogs. In his foster home, Rocci is the dog that can always be counted on to befriend a shy, scared pup that just came out of the scary shelter. While the other dogs in his foster home ignore the pups, Rocci always takes the scared little ones under his wing and will share his bed and his food with that pup until it gains confidence and comes out of it's shell.

Rocci’s calm presence is also helpful with alpha female dogs. His foster mom has noticed that Rocci can be challenged or barked at by an assertive alpha female dog and he always stays calm and he will never respond in a combative way.
