Rocket von Rerik is a very handsome 12 month old German Shepherd. Hunky Rocket is young but already a gentleman in the making. He exits his kennel politely, head high and tail wagging, and walks next to you like an expert. Mid-to-high energy Rocket might get ahead once in awhile, but always turns back to flash you an impish grin, sometimes running back to your side and licking your hands. Rocket barks at passing dogs sometimes, but correct him and he is happy to walk right next to them. He loves to cuddle and is super social and friendly and, while he would love to go on a jog with you, he is equally content lying on the grass with his head in your lap. Rocket seems to be perpetually hungry (what adolescent boy isn’t?) and would do a variety of comedic moves to get a treat. He certainly learned how to sit in record time! On leash, Rocket can get excited and react to other dogs but he is actually a nice guy (despite his heartbreaker good looks) who wants to avoid problems. Off-leash, Rocket does even better, meeting everyone well and preferring to explore the yard. He seems comfortable hanging out next to the other dogs and was tolerant even towards an alpha male who tried to hump him. Sweet Rocket has a heart of gold and we don’t expect him to be in the kennels much longer, so hurry down and get an application in for him.
