Sammi von Sparrow is the most wonderful 14 month old German Shepherd.
Per her foster mom:
She came to us pregnant and had a litter of pups who are on their way to their new homes now that they're 9 weeks old. She was an excellent mother-always a watchful eye on her little ones and yet very willing to show them off to visitors and allowed the other female dogs to be part of her puppies lives. Sammi loves life! She loves to have a job to do.  (several jobs would suit her even better) She learns quickly and has fit into her foster home nicely.  Sammi is housebroken,  full of personality and she gets along great with 4 other female dogs so she is very congenial.  She is a bit too curious with cats but she is very willing to learn and will respect boundaries if someone is willing to put in the time to work with her. She probably shouldn't be in a home with small dogs though. She loves to chase the birds (and houseflies) in our backyard and will find different things to do to entertain herself. She always has a smile on her face and is perfectly content doing whatever her family is doing.  She is an absolute joy to foster.
Sammi has an old injury from before we got her and she had to relearn how to walk. She is doing wonderfully and although she can still be a little wobbly with her back legs here and there, she is pretty much a non-stop mover. Her spirit is amazing. We think she might be back to normal in no time.
