Sargento von Salzkotten is a handsome 6 year old German Shepherd who was given up when his family moved.   Despite his supersized physique, Sargento is a pretty easy walker who is content to amble along, taking in the sights. When he sees other dogs, he loves to say “hello” with a sniff and get to know them as they stroll along together.  Canine playgroups are special for him -- they set his bushy tail to busily wagging. Speaking of playing, tennis balls and Sargento are a perfect match! He loves fetching them for his people. Sargento is housebroken and knows his basic commands.  Although he lived with adults, he seems to get along with everybody. He will quietly ask for affection by leaning his head into your leg and flashing you those beautiful eyes.  This boy will do great in a home where he is with his people more often than not -- and where his owner who will put Sargento's intelligence to work.
