Scout von Sustar is a smaller-sized 18 month old German Shepherd mix. This cutie-pie with the creamy coat is just the most kissable little munchkin. Scout is still trying to get used to the noise in the kennels and the busy streets of Downtown LA and might come off a little shy in the beginning. He comes out of his shell with any kind volunteer and really starts to show his happy side. Scout rides well in the car and walks like a dream on leash; he never pulls and is not distracted by other dogs or birds. It is always refreshing for a pup his age to have a nice, calm energy, although he still has some puppy mouthing habits. He loves affection and getting brushed, and always looks to his humans for direction. Scout does not like being in a crate, nor does he like being left in the backyard alone but, since he is never destructive when left alone in the house, there is no need to do either. The sweet boy loves his treats and toys but is not possessive of them. He has lived with small dogs previously but can play a little too rough, and does not like when they are bossy with him. He gets along with all dogs but gravitates towards those with a similar temperament to him: sweet and even-tempered. His previous owners were heartbroken to give him up, and described him as a “diamond in the rough” who will “always put a smile on your face.” Scout is already housebroken and will make a wonderful addition to any family; he hopes to find one with a kind owner with whom he can really blossom.
