Sirus von Schonthal is an approx. 3-month old Dachshund and possible Maltese because of the type of fur he has. His mother was an 18 pound Dachshund mix. Although Sirus is only 5 lbs, he is a confident, playful pup who can hang with his MUCH larger foster German Shepherd brother and sister. He has great puppy energy, loves playing ball, and is keen to explore his surroundings.  After playtime, Sirus loves to curl up in your lap for some serious rest time. He loves his human companions as much as his fur family, and rewards the personal attention with generous puppy kisses. He will rest quietly by your feet as you work, or follow you outdoors and stay by your side while you do your gardening.  His foster mom is working on house-training, and reports that he making good progress.  Sirus could happily fit into any household, he does love to have a dog to play with, it is so cute to watch. He is good with the resident cat and also the little grandchild in the family. Cyrus has so much love to give, even after a rough start to his young life.  Please help us find Cyrus a good home!
