Tammy von Toon is the sweetest 3-4 year old German Shepherd. Per her own words, “Hi, My name is Tammy! Westside rescued me from a scary place called a high-kill shelter, and I am so grateful for a second chance at life. I am a mid-energy girl with my puppy years recently behind me, and I meet new people a little shyly. However, give me about 3 seconds and I will be all tail wags and sweet kisses. I walk great on leash, even next to other dogs, and always nudge your hand for affection. The volunteers call me a funny girl with lots of personality because I am always making them laugh. When a volunteer took me to the park, I galloped a little and then started rolling around on my back with all my legs sticking up in the air. It got a little hot so I started jumping around happily in a puddle, but the volunteer seemed exasperated so I laid down to show her that I was a submissive and obedient girl and won’t play in puddles if she didn’t want me to. When we got back to the shelter, they gave me a bucket of water to drink from but I decided to sit in it instead, making them all laugh again. They said I should ask for a home with a swimming pool, but any home with kind owners is good enough for me! At my Westside playgroups I am comfortable with all the dogs and, if they invite me to play, I will definitely oblige! My tail wags the entire time and I am good with dogs of different energy levels. I heard the volunteers at Westside saying that I will definitely be adopted quickly; I really hope that is true!"
