Truman von Trulben is a very handsome and sweet 2 year old Shepherd mix on the smaller side.  Possibly housebroken, our medium-energy boy walks fairly well on leash, stopping occasionally to sniff the flowers or track a bug crawling along the sidewalk.  Truman is the perfect combination of affectionate yet independent; he likes winning your attention but does not bug you for it.  Truman’s quite content to sit next to your recliner while you click the remote to different sports events (as long as your share your popcorn with him).   Having not been socialized much with other dogs before coming to the rescue, we put him into doggie playgroups with just female dogs, with whom he came on a little strong but responded well to correction.  Tru thinks he is a perfect size to share the back seat of your car or the end of your bed, and can hardly wait for you to give him that opportunity.
