Zimba von Zella is a gorgeous XLarge 3 year old German Shepherd. A real head-turner, this low-to-mid-energy hunk carries himself with confidence, attracting oohs and aahs from passers-by. He walks fairly well on leash, sometimes pulling when he first exits his kennel but responsive to a quick correction. On walks he tends to ignore other dogs, even ones that might bark at him. In playgroups he introduces himself politely to the other dogs but is more interested in interacting with humans than he is with canines. Described by our kennel techs as “calm and mellow,” Zimba is somewhat bi-lingual, responding to certain basic commands given to him in Spanish. Once he is comfortable with you, he becomes a gentle giant who wants to be with you as much as possible – so much so that he is somewhat of an escape artist who will open door knobs or jump a fence if left on his own too long. What a great family member he will be in an environment where someone is home most of the time..
