types of German Shepherd Dogs from high kill shelters and adopting them to loving, qualified homes. |

The New Year is going to be like no other for Diablo! He has only known neglect and cruelty. We see so many sad things, but seeing Diablo and seeing how he suffered, but seeing his resilience and his capacity to forgive and love is mind boggling. What a disappointment Diablo must have been to his owners. Obviously, they wanted a devil dog, chaining him to make him mean. Today all Diablo wanted to do was give our volunteer his paw in thanks for his double cheeseburgers. He rode back to the kennel with his head on a volunteer’s shoulder. We have promised Diablo and he already knows that he will only experience love and good things for many years to come. Your donations help us save the lives of dogs like Diablo! |

Emmi wants to know when it will be her turn to have a home of her own. She watches as the new dogs arrive and leave shortly after, she sees them come and go. She doesn’t understand where her family is, she tries hard to be such a good girl. Ask any guy in the kennel about her and they all say the same thing, “Emmi is a cool dog!”, so then she wonders what could be wrong. Could it possibly be because her owners long ago left her in the yard and flies damaged her ears? She tells herself it couldn’t be possible, she knows she is still a very good looking girl. I GOOFED ... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME? Really, really I’m so sorry! It is just that I thought it would be nice if I could go play in the yard at night, I got bored in my kennel. I was just wondering if anyone had a door they didn’t need and knew how to put in a new one? Westside German Shepherd Rescue is in the dog house and I’m trying to help them. Your friend, Conrad. |

Robin, we just adopted a little baby girl from Korea. We assumed Rosie would get jealous and we'd have to work with her. But, no! Sweet Rosie loves our little girl. She sits by her crib while our daughter Kai is sleeping and Rosie rushes to her whenever she cries and licks her. It is the sweetest thing. We are so proud of our Rosie!!! If there was ever any doubt about how loyal and kind GSDs are, Rosie's proof! |

FOSTERS NEEDED - After 3 Years in the shelter! (click here to see the rest of the many dogs in need) Because of an ongoing court case involving animal cruelty, these 4 dogs have been at the shelter for 3 years as 'evidence'. It has taken a toll on these poor dogs and they desperately need to go to foster homes as soon as possible. Each dog that is fostered is like donating $390 per month, which is what our boarding costs are for one dog.
