Don’t forget our lucky foster dogs; their foster parents make the transition to a new home so much easier. If you have lots of questions about how a dog will do in your home, whom better to ask than one of our dedicated fosters who know the dogs as part of their family. We are so grateful to our foster families. It is the ultimate gift to a dog without a family, instead of a cold kennel run, they wait for their new home in a loving home setting. Our foster families all have dogs of their own, this is their way of helping save more dogs. Of course it hurts to give up a foster dog, but the feeling of accomplishment, of helping save a life, transcends anything. Many of our foster families have been fostering dogs for almost a decade, they stay in touch with their adopters, it is an amazing bond. Just let us know if you would like to talk to a foster parent about their dog or to become a Westside foster home. |

| Moose is a GS mix about one year old and 70 lbs. He is the SWEETEST boy. He does have a little separation anxiety, but that is his only behavioral issue and can be corrected. He plays wonderfully with both of our pups. He tugs on the leash at the beginning of our walk/runs, but after his excitement wears out a bit he tugs way less. He is surprisingly calm and gentle for such a young boy. He likes fetch, swimming, camping and playing with his foster family. We would so love to find him a forever home. Moose is neutered. Max is a wonderful and distinguished older gentleman of 8 years. He looks to be a shepherd/jindo mix, best guess. Max is a gentle 65 pound love bug, who loves human attention. He is curious and wags his tail around other dogs. He does not require heavy exercise and loves to go on short walks. Max likes to explore the great outdoors to see what's going on in the world. He would be great in a calm environment where he can be walked and receive human affection. He likes to get his ears and tummy rubbed. He does well with most dogs, but probably not that great with cats. Since he's an older doggie who enjoys a calm environment, a home with older (as opposed to very active smal) kids is preferred. Champion is a stunning 6 year old German Shepherd. Per his foster mom: He loves children and other animals and is very playful. Currently living with 2 females, Golden Retriever mix and Black Lab mix. He also enjoys being around the pool while trying to retrieve tennis balls by dunking his head under the water. He has quite the personality and is very entertaining to watch. He is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He is neutered, is micro-chipped, crate trained and is up to date with his shots. This is Doja a 3 year old German Shepherd with an amazing personality. Doja is a little shy when she first meets new people, but once she determines you are a friend she will be your friend for life. Doja is very active and will do best with a home that likes to go on long walks/runs. Doja loves chasing the water hose. She is always up for a game of fetch or a simple belly rub. She is really loving and needs a great forever home where she can be loved and love. She does well with other male dogs. For the past year she has been living with other rescue mastiffs, so she has learned to play a little rough with other dogs. She was raised around a cat but for the last year she has only seen cats as prey and wants to chase them. She has a high pry drive and loves chasing the rabbits in the field near our home. Doja does extremely well when off leash. She will come when called and stay close when told to. Doja is an amazing little girl and needs an amazing home.
