URGENT

Goody was rescued from the pound at 6 weeks old, she is a German Shepherd /Rottie mix. She is now 6 yrs old and her family is moving out of the country. She loves kids, is great with other dogs and is even great with cats. She loves walking and is very strong. She weighs about 90 pounds. Gets along fine with other dogs big and small and has a stray cat she shares her house with when it's cold or raining.
For more info call Rachel at 818-378-8995 ot email her at Raweil@aol.com

Koda is about 6 months old. She is great with kids, and loves to give kisses ALL the time, she rarely barks! She is not fully housebroken but I always put her out after she eats with the other dogs for a couple of hours. She is spayed and is up to date on the shots! She is a Staffie mix, that is how she gets the beautiful colorings she has. Definitely a family dog. She has lots of puppy energy, loves walks and gets along with other dogs. She is not aggresive in anyway, shape or form!!!

Please contact Sarah at chvzcrw03@yahoo.com

Samson is a 4 year old German Shepherd/Malamute mix. He's up to date with his shots and is licensed. Samson has been SAFER tested, and passed with flying colors. He gets along well with our cats, and is nothing but loving to our 6 month old son (even when he pulls his hair or tail)  His only problem is livestock, alothough he gets along with our horses...however chickens, goats, and rabbits are big no no's. He is currently living in a pack situation and enjoys being the pack leader to Zoey (german SH pointer), Samantha (border collie), America (lab mix), and Baybee ( Miniature Pinscher). Whenever we have brought another dog into our home (either while dog sitting or just happened to find a stray) he has treated them as just another member of his pack. Samson loves being groomed. On occassion he has been know to sleep in our bed with us and is house trained. Samson is also trained to sit before meals and to eat when given permission to do so. Titan and Uranus came to us when their folks’ circumstances changed and they could no longer care for them. These lovely boys, a Golden Retriever (Uranus-below) and a German Shepherd Dog (Titan-above)), have been traveling buddies for some time, and considering their recent turn of events, would like to try to stay together as they continue on their journey. These buddies are about 5 years old, with sweet dispositions and big wet eyes that will melt your heart. Titan and Uranus think other dogs and older humans are just swell, but haven’t ever met a cat or a kid under age 7, so they’ll be starting their search for homes without any of those for right now. If these fellows will shine in your life, please contact Barbara at go4thegold@sbcglobal.net

Chloe is a sweet, super-friendly female shepherd/lab mix.  She's about 15 months old and weighs 33 pounds.  She's well-mannered, housebroken, gets along well with other dogs & kids, and would be a wonderful pet. She is extremely smart and knows basic commands like sit, lay down & stay. She is not food aggressive. She is a little shy at first, but gets over that in just a few hours. Chloe was rescued from Spalding, Georgia and saved from the gas chamber.  If you are interested in adopting Chloe, please contact: Lisa McGuire

VERY URGENT - PLEASE HELP THESE SWEET DOGS!
Mr Cooper and Nelly's elderly owner passed away and now these 2 terrific dogs are without a home. Please help us find them a new forever home! They don't need to be adopted together. Mr. Cooper is a large, 10 year-old neutered male German Shepherd. He is a very nice dog who might have a few really great years in him…  Nelly is a gem! She is a 40 lbs. 6 year-old spayed female Shepherd mix. She is friendly, spunky, and sweet to all, knows some basic commands and cute dog tricks. Both are housetrained, spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations.
Please email Marsha at contact@devildogranch.com

Daisy Duke was running in the street in Canoga Park and I managed to get her to come into my car. Once she was inside I realized that she had escaped her previous owners because they were neglecting her. Her collar had basically grown into her neck as she grew and had to be cut off of her. She is a 1 year old lab mix and the collar was about the size of a cat collar. She's been to my vet and is completely healed, been given all of her shots, and has been living with me for the last 10 days. She is really eager to find a permanent Mom/Dad:) I would absolutely keep her if I didn't already have 2 old (11 yrs) pups and 2 kitties already. She is incredibly bright, house trained, easy on a leash, doesn't get on the furniture or chew up anything, and only barks if she sees someone walking outside that she doesn't know. She even waits for my other dogs to finish eating before she allows herself. She is full of love and kisses and has a definite Lab personality. She loves to sleep as much as she loves to fetch:) I have to find her a home ASAP because my pups are getting attached and so am I.....Please call me if you'd like to meet her or know someone who wants to open their heart/home for this little lady

Bindi is a soulful, affectionate Shepherd/ Hound girl. She was recently rescued from the South L.A. shelter. She had been dumped by her heartless family along with a litter of nursing puppies. Her pups all got adopted but she was left behind. Bindi is about 2 years old, 45-50 lbs. and just the sweetest girl imaginable. We first encountered Bindi at a mobile adoption. She was so calm and gentle, happily enjoying her first day out of the shelter in almost two months. She was absolutely wonderful with all the people and other dogs. After she returned to the shelter we learned that they were going to kill her due to an ear infection! We rescued her on her last day. Bindi is quiet, housetrained, vaccinated, microchipped, was recently spayed and had ear surgery. She is in a foster home with 4 other dogs and doing great! Bindi is being sponsored by the Echo Park Animal Alliance, a local animal welfare organization. Please email: epaa@devildogranch.com for an application.

Riley is the sweetest 4 year old German Shepherd. Her family needs to find her a new home because their other small dog isn't getting along with Riley. They have nothing but great things to say about her. She is housebroken, loves people and is friendly with everyone she meets, dogs and humans alike. She even loves cats and is currently living with 2 of them. She is on the smaller side just over 60 lbs. She also loves going for car rides and is a wonderful passenger. She sticks with her family if she's off leash in front of the house watching her 'dad' do the gardening. All in all, she is a gem and her family is heartbroken for having to give her up. For more info please email to: jmstovall@netzero.com

Koda 1 Koda Headshot
Koda is a wonderful 10 month old German Shepherd/Lab. mix.  She's 60 lbs., spayed, has her shots and is crate trained. Koda lives with a small dog in a condo, her family feels she needs a house with a yard. She's extremely friendly, playful, and full of young-dog energy.  She loves playing with her purple squeeze ball and Kong.  She also loves the outdoors and the beach, although she's an indoor dog.  She's extremely submissive around other dogs, as with all dogs she can get protective on the leash when other dogs approach her person. At the dog park, other dogs try to pick on her if anything, not the other way around.  The bottom line is that everyone who meets her loves her.  We know she'll make a loving family very happy. For more info call Paul Gift, Home Phone: (310) 822-2314 or Cell Phone: (310) 869-6655

URGENT-HONEY NEEDS A HOME!!!

I rescued Honey from the pound the day that she was going to be put to sleep. I can't believe anyone would dump her at the pound...She is just adorable.  She loves to be with people and other dogs-she follows me wherever I go, and tries to play with my dogs, but they are old and grouchy.  She lays her head on the couch and watches me, follows me into the bathroom and follows my dogs wherever they go. Honey loves to sleep next to me, with her head on the pillow next to mine.  She is a real sweetheart, with a lot of love to give! She is truly beautiful, a german shepherd mix with big floppy ears.  She was listed at the pound as two years old, but is probably much younger! Honey is great with other dogs; she is very submissive and eager to please.  When my dogs growl at her, she runs off, but then tries to get close to them again later.  She is such a sweet soul.  I can't explain it, but you just want to help her and make her feel secure.  She felt anxious at first but calmed down, and is now beginning to relax and hang out.  She would make a great addition to your dog pack and family.  She needs to be with people and dogs, and is fine with cats.  I am totally impressed by her-she is very adaptable and smart.

Honey needs a home with patience and love to give!

If you would like to come over and meet Honey, please do!  I live in Hancock Park. Call Ariel at 323 610 5570 or email me at relish17@aol.com

jamie and rhett for courtesy

Scarlet (ears up)and Rhett (one ear down) are 7-9 month old Shepherd/ Queensland heeler mix siblings who were born on the streets and lived there with their mother Tara, until they were rescued. They used to sleep under cars and hide from the dangers of the streets. Even though when they were first rescued they didn't really know what people were, they now love (bellyrubs) to
cuddle with their human guardians. Scarlet enjoys playing with her toys (especially her toy duck) and they do great on walks. They are looking for a safe and patient home and are proud to announce they already know their basic commands. Rhett is always complimented on how quickly he learns. They would make such wonderful additions to some lucky families or maybe the same family for both.

Leo is a large lovable, beautiful 60-lb 9-month old shar-pei shepherd mix. He is a muscular boy that loves to run and play with other dogs and would do well with a dog his size or larger.  Leo is very active and enjoys his daily walks (and jogs) and playing with his doggie toys.  He is very friendly and affectionate when he meets people.  Leo enjoys being indoors with the family and he loves to have his tummy rubbed. He is truly a puppy at heart.  Leo is housebroken and does well when inside the home and on long trips in the car.  He loves to look out the door and watch the world go by.  He is truly a character at heart and would make a wonderful addition to your family.  Please contact Ruth at ripleydbar@sbcglobal.net

caleb

PLEASE HELP CALEB !!

Caleb is four years old. He was rescued from a shelter, and his rescuer was told that he had been used as a "bait dog" for fighting dogs in training. Nonetheless, he is exceptionally sweet, and gets along well with other dogs, kids, and adults. Caleb has renal disease, and will probably not live to be an old dog, although whether his future is measured in months or years is unknown. He tires easily, and may also have a cardiac problem,. Because of his kidney problem, he drinks large amounts of water constantly, and must have free access to a yard, as he must pee frequently as a result. His sunny, loving disposition needs a nice yard and a caring person or two to give him a quality of life for the time he has left. He is living in a kennel now, and we do not want his lifetime to be spent in jail. If you are a special person who can give Caleb a home, we will continue to provide his basic medical care. He is an angel who will bless the life of those around him. Please call The Peter Zippi Fund for Animals if you can help Caleb. He is such a good boy… 310-379-1264
